I just moved to a new house last week. When the cable guy came to install, he broke our A/C, we havnt had a/c in 4 days and I live in the valley where its 105. This sucks. I have 5 fans going at once but nothing keeps the house cool, i feel really bad for the dogs, they are so hot they wont play. I make sure to cool them off by letting them swim in the pool.It was 92 in my house yesterday.ugh
But man, i wish i could come up with someway to keep this house cool while my a/c gets fixed. I almost passed out two days ago.
That sucks! I know how heat can get to you since it has been 115 here but my a/c is working fine.......so far...lol. Yep, i'd say lots of swimming is the key
PLace some buckets of ice behind the fans. The fans will suck the cool air coming off the ice through the fans and cool ur house a bit better then by themselves. I did this when i lived in sherman and it was over 100 and for just my bedroom it worked pretty good.
Make sure the fans are blowing air in from doors and windows. I shut up the sunny side of the house, in the middle of the day, as the air outside is warmer than inside. I'm not doing too bad. Today is muggy, but not sunny or hot.
The high here today got to 110 but luckily I was in the AC....but right now the AC isn't working up to par because it is so freaking hot. Ugggggggg!!!!!!!!! I am so tired of heat. And to top it off its real humid here.
Humid here, too. My mom says it is like Louisiana. The clouds are keeping the temperature down, but some folks tell tales of flash floods. News called it "unstable" weather. Stay away, sun.
