Well, shortly after we moved in this house we found many a bug. The kitties live mostly downstairs though they can come on up if their little hearts desire so they manage to keep the bug population in control. HOWEVER I am tired of seeing what I have finally identified as a house centipede in my house. While my family was here I broke down and bought a dehumidifier. which I have found out that will help get rid of them. I have also possibly identified one of the spiders that i have seen in our pool, as a fishing spider, look them up THEY GET HUGE!!!! There is a another spider that my family while they were here discovered in our pool that I'm not sure if it is the same as the first or a different one. I've e-mailed the people at What's that bug and maybe they'll respond and I'll find out. If it won't freak everyone out too much I'll try to post the pic we have of it and see what ya'll might think it is. Let me know if ya want it posted or not so I know what to do. Thanks for letting me vent, plus I'm excited that i was FINALLY able to identify those stupid centipedes....ugh.... anyways, anyone else have troubles with random bugs in their house?
Well, I love to see bugs, they are facinating, even if they give you the crawlies. I kinda have a live and let live policy. If they are invasive [fleas, flies, roaches] they are dead on sight. If they stay out of my face and space [inc. the dog yard] I usually don't make an effort to hunt them down and eradicate them. My neighbor's kid got bee stung this week. She said they were hiving under some kiddie swings and such. That kind of thing I will deal with lethally/immediately. She sprayed the whole area with ant spray
Bugs suck! Spiders are my worst fear ever. I can't stand them. Matt wanted to bring a spider home from work that he found at work and put in a ziploc bag. He had evil intentions! He was going to show me the spider and throw the bag at me and I told him he was so full of sh*t and he would die......he knows how deathly afraid I am and he knows he'll get it if he brings a spider close to me. I believe he was joking the whole time but I threatenend him none the less. :)
To a point I can handle looking at pictures, but in my house, ugh. Flies bother me only because they don't get out of my face and they tend to land on my food. Since i've found out what the centipedes are I dont know yet if I'll tolerate them (as they do eat other bugs and keep that population in control) or what. I do know that everytime I see a new bug first I want it dead then I want to know what kind of bug it was. Sometimes I want to know what kind first but not very often.
Heff I dont blame you, my husband would have ended up with a bloody nose if he had tried that. Luckily he's deathly afriad of the bigger spiders like me.
He's scared of wasps because he's allergic to them, he screams like a girl when they come close. HA....but he likes to chase them down at work with a blow torch and kill them. As far as spiders, they don't bother him at all. If there'sa big one around or one that's even got away, I almost cry I'm so scared....I go around my room at the doorways, hidden places, windows and the outside of my window with bug spray to make them die and kill others that come around.
