I hope everyone is doing well. I haven't been on much this summer. I just came from the vet and i knew this was the first stop i needed to make. You all will understand my heartache.
So Ivan is going to need surgery to open his airways. His nostrils are about pinched closed, and his soft pallet is too long. So we have been saving up all summer to get his surgery to get all of that taken care of. We then decided to have him neutered at the same time. Bad airways is not something we want to pass on to any offspring.
Here is the part that makes me feel like the worst mommy ever. Yesterday while i was trimming his nails I found a large growth in between his pads on his fron foot. It is HUGE! I can't believe i didn't notice it sooner! So when i took him in for his post op. exam this morning i showed the vet and he wants us to get it removed and biopsied (sp) asap....so they are going to remove it during his surgery.
I am soooo freaked out. I just get so nervous knowing he has to have such a major surgery. It is schedualed for next wednesday.
Aw Jess, I'm sorry :( I can't imagine what you must be going through. Ivan is your baby! I'm quite fond of him myself, and I've never even ever seen him, lol. I hope all goes well. Just keep positive thoughts, and let us know how everything goes.
