RE: Steve Irwin die monday

Wow.
What a shock [no pun intended, I swear].
That is too sad.
He was a bit of a loose wire, but his heart was in the right place.
My brother, and family live in Eugene, Oregon. I hear it is a nice place. They are critter lovers. LA seems to be moving into non critter loving mode. If the animal is not small and innoctuous enough, do not try living here with it.
God bless him.
God bless his ideals, where they help the planet.
Such a loss.

It has been on the news all morning. I keep thinking of his babies. His daughter is eight, and his son is two. Bindi will remeber her dad, but he will not be there to walk her down the isle or see her graduate or have his grandchildren. And Bob will have few if any memories of his father. He will only know him thru stories and film. I think that is what makes me most sad.

He was a great fighter for animals that most people didn't like or understand. He worked very hard so that his and everyones children and grandchildren would get to see and love many endangered species.

He will be greatly missed, and my heart goes out to his family and zoo family.

I was so sad when I heard this tragic news first thing this morning.  The animals of this earth have lost such an advocate with Steve's death.  My heart goes out to Terri and his children.

Yes, truly a loss to the animal/marine world.  He vested himself 100% into what he done.  What a shock.  He will be sadly missed, but his efforts will live long into the lives of even our own grandchildren.

Chrikey, who would have thought?

God bless his brave, fun filled spirit, and his family.
