about to lose it

I don't know what to do. We've had Lola since she was about 8/9 weeks old. We had her housetrained at four months. Then we brought Tiki in. When we brought Tiki in the house Lola forgot that she was housetrained and we never fully regrained her 100% compliance. We found Tiki a new home due to her seperation anxiety and brought in Pi. Again same problem. We've kenneled them at night and when we're not home, tried restricting their space and STILL they do what they need to do in areas of the house. One area I thought was due to the carpet that was down. I pulled it up a couple of days ago, cleaned the plywood underneath and let the solution soak into the wood. Odin has the same problems! He's crated when we're not home but I can't let him out of my sight because if I do he's gone off to crap or pee somewhere! When I left for work today I left the girls out so they could eat since I wouldnt' be home to feed them at their normal time. When I got home, they greeted me at the door like normal. I walked into our middle room and they had shredded a book that I was in the middle of reading and my sister had lent to me, and had crapped and pee'd in the hallway that I had just ripped the carpet out of and cleaned. I don't know what else to try! I feel horrible crating them for so much but what else is there? I can't & won't leave them outside while I'm gone. Odin I can kick out for a while but he yelps and crys and scratches at the door to get let back in. Lola is the only one I could leave outside with no problems, but she's also the one that does what she needs to do as soon as she goes out. Pi just finds holes in the fence and escapes. Anyone have any other solutions I can try. I'm completely at my wits end. I'm hoping this isn't just PMS talking. I love my dogs but cannot tolerate this behaviour I'm in tears because this is really starting to stress me out.

Maybe you should start potty training over agian, keep using the crates anytime they cant be supervised, even if you just go to the bathroom. Or keep their leash on in the house and tie them to your belt loop, that way they cant travel far from you and if they do have an accident you are right there to catch them in the act.

I feel bad crating but sometimes you just have too. I had the same problem about a year ago, i got so fed up, so i crated them every time i couldnt actually see them and never let them have an accident and after a while they were finally potty trained.

Its important not to set them up for failure. So if you are with them in the house and have to shower or something, either crate them or put them outside. Never give them any free reign of the house untill they learn to do their thing outside only. Otherwise you will keep getting frustrated, and thats not good for you or your babies.

When you leave and no one is home just always crate them, if you feel bad just leave them with bones and toys in their crate, when you leave they most likelly sleep anyway, so dont feel bad, plus its safer for them too, cause they wont get into things they arnt suppose too.

I've thought about tying them to me, however it's 2 french bulldogs and a rotti mix.  If I do that then they're going to be fighting non-stop and pulling me all over the house.  We've been crating for the past two weeks whenever we go to bed and aren't home.  Odin has been crated like this since we got him in may/Juneish.  I know they sleep when they're in their crates and we're not home, I just worry that for as much as they're crated, are they going to end up with deformed limbs or underdeveloped muscles?  Their crates are just right for their respective sizes, maybe I'm just being excessively paranoid about crating too much.  The bad thing is, the way my house is laid out, the room that they're using I can't see from the living room and I dont have the money or materials to block that space off from them so they have to stay in my sight.

Kitty, the no go would work in that one particular area, but wouldn't they just go to a spot where that stuff wasn't sprayed?
