New Greenies?

So, greenies pulled all of their old products off the shelves and brought out their new greenies. Which if you pick one up and easy to bend. I'm curious to know if any of you have tried the new ones and if so are you more satisfied with them than the old. The old ones the girls (especially Lola) would chew off the big end and cram the rest down their throat. I switched to NutriDent and was impressed because they broke apart much easier. I'm thinking about trying the new ones but am hesitant because of the same problems encountered before. Of course at work we have a buy one get one free on the try me's so I wouldn't be out as much as I would be on the others but just wanted to know what ya'll think and if its actaully worth it.

I have never used Greenies because of the bad things I have heard about them. But then again with as big as my dogs mouths are I don't try too many treats that are tough and small. I don't think it would hurt you to try the new ones as long as you were there to supervise the chewing.

There was a coupon for a free trial of the new greenies. On the bottom it said that if you go to their webpage they will send you one for free. Just FYI

Although I never bought the old version of the greenies for my dogs I would be very hesitant to try the new ones after all the problems the old ones caused.  If I were to pick some up I'd probably soak one in water for a while & see if it dissolved or crumbled up easily since the old version just wouldn't break down even in stomach acids from what I've read.

I tried to do the try them free online, but since I had already done it before they changed their product it wouldn't let me do their new one.  I sent them an e-mail asking what needed to be done for that.  Probably nothing.

Of course I broke down and ended up buying some at work.  I was pretty impressed at how easily they broke up while the dogs were chewing on them.  Go figure they didn't last very long and I haven't seen any awful side effects and its been over 24 hours but I'll keep an eye on them just in case.

I didn't know they had pulled the Greenies.  Wow.  I bought them for all of our dogs and never had any trouble out of them.  The dogs loved them.  I even got a free sample bag for Napster (cat) and she flips out over them.  They are the hard ones.

I have  also read the horror stories about them.  Several people had problems, but I think its like with anything else.  There is always a chance that someone is going to experience problems.  Just supervise your pets when they eat them (or any other snack) and hopefully everything will be ok.

Maybe with the new chewey ones there wont be as many problems.  I'll pick some up this week and let you know how the animals liked the new ones.

Yup. I heard they killed the doggies. I never tried them, even for free.

I've not tried them, not for a few years.  I probably won't. They never did make my dogs breath better. Brushing their teeth surely has helped.

When i first got Ivan Greenies were all the rage. Even before i started hearing all the bad rap I had to stop giving them to Ivan because he would throw up every time he ate one. They would just upset his stomach no matter what. I think it is because he obsessively would eat them. So i decided to try the new greenies a couple weeks ago. I even did the free trial for the cats. The cats love them, and i have never ever had a problem with the cats greenies. Borris was fine with the new and improved greenies also. But about halfway through eating his, Ivan began to throw up. He puked up 2 huge piles of green slime. That is when i decided that new or old Ivan just can;t handle them. I feel fine giving them to Borris if I watch him.

I will continue getting them for the cats because their teeth need all the help they can get, but as far as the dogs go I doubt i will ever buy them again.
