Huh.
Me, after my thirties, needed those nasties removed.
I had a very competent, expensive, female oral surgeon take out the one, but afterwards, my jaw unbalanced and unhinged in my sleep, as well as my crowding teeth began resulting in lisping and spitting, and I eventually got scared [not brave] enough to remove the tooth from the other side.

Hi P.D.  Tell us about Alaska. I had all my wisdom teeth out in my 20's one was impacted so of course had to go to the specialist for them all to be taken out.  Back then it was only $350 for all 4.

Kitty you were nuts not to have them all done at once. Thats bizzare what happened to you.

I'm sure Alaska was way different than Texas...LMAO!! I have always wanted to go there. Its great everything is going well with you.

And I am 24 and still no wisdom teeth for me. I wonder if they will ever grow in.

Glad to hear things went well with the trip.  Sucks about the wisdom teeth thought.  I had mine out my senior year, went pretty easily as they were growing in like regular teeth just didn't have room in my mouth for them.

I think that you may not notice them at 24.
I'm 47, and likely had them removed at 40+
I was disappointed they could not replace the old teeth in the back, but they were growing in at a slant and have less of a root, so the dentist said that would not happen.
Puttin' it was really scary, I would relax in my sleep, and my bottom jaw would eclipse the top, like a bulldog, then attempt to slam back [which would shatter all my front teeth]. I was grinding my teeth as well, and I loosened, and subsequently lost a molar, but the poor tooth was rotten, anyway. I took enough calcium and got my blood pressure back in sync with diet, and I sleep with a pillow under my chin to keep my mouth from getting adventurous when I am asleep.
