Things I learned in 2006

Yes, these are all things I personally learned during 2006....lol

A hungry cat is the most affectionate animal on the planet.

Never feed your dog raw meat and then forget to let him out.  He may explode and cause you to have to replace your carpet.

Turtles can live forever and even survive a 5 year old who thinks they are dinosaurs.

Goats are needy creatures and will hoof you to death over a pellet of sweet feed.

Cats know who they don't like and if that person leaves their jacket at your house, the cat will urinate on it out of spite.

Dogs chew everything, and everything, and everything.

If you lose your leaf rake, tie your dog out near your porch and he will magically find it......and chew it up.

If you want a garden, place your dog on a run in the area you want the garden plowed.  In 24 hours, the earth will be dug up.

Untrained livestock dogs and fainting goats do not mix. The dog will chase the goat till it faints then the dog will try to eat the goat.

48 inches of woven wire will not stop a goat from getting out, but one strand of electric fence will stop them in their tracks.

Cats inherently like to sleep with their rear in your face.

Cat lovers have hair balls too.  Nothing like waking up to a mouth full of cat hair because your cat feels the need to sleep in your throat (and hopefully its the morning when she doesn't sleep with her rear at your face)

Those are funny.

My ancient cat met her goddess before the New Year, and I will never have another house cat. They can stay outside and catch mice and rats like they are supposed to.
I never want to see a litterbox as long as I live.
Only issue I have with goats is how they smell, same with snakes and rodents. Funny dogs don't bother me too much. I was sure glad when I found my missing vacuum bags [after a week] this morning, though.
